The Beautiful Villa Lauriston
Villa Lauriston was designed by noted architect George Schastey in the early 1920s, in northern California. Situated on over 28 acres of beautifully manicured grounds, the villa is a crown jewel in the Florentine architectural style. (ABOVE) A vintage photograph of the villa shortly after its completion. The villa has a stately presence as it sits on higher ground overlooking the pool and property. (BELOW 1) An aerial view of the property shows the multitude of trees surrounding the home. I can just image how clean and wonderful the air must be! (BELOW 2) After driving along a private lane, you arrive to a piece of architectural heaven. (BELOW 3) The backyard features a lovely organic pond. Though I can picture myself relaxing by the pond, I think I'll save the swimming for the pool. (BELOW 4) A tennis court is set overlooking the surrounding mountains and vineyards. I could definitely wake up to a game of tennis here. (BELOW 5) A brick border is the perfect touch to define this wonderful pool. Around the pool are redwoods. (BELOW 6) A photograph taken facing the rear of the home from the pool deck. I love the variation in windows. What are your thoughts about the Villa Lauriston?
