White Brick Modern

© Tamas Bujnovszky
Built in Hungary in 2010 by ZSK architects this home was designed to "find the connection between the architectural tradition of the former agricultural area and the industrial past of the town" (ZSK architects). (ABOVE) The clean design makes a very strong statement. The deep window sills add so much character to the exterior. (BELOW 1) The pitch of the roof is quite flat with a metal rim around the edge. I love the flat roof! (BELOW 2) The windows have a screen protector. I love the texture that these screens bring to the facade. Overall, I love the clean, simple design of this home. The hard angles and minimalistic design make a strong architectural statement. The home has a great modern design, yet has a solid, well built feel. What do you think?
