Building It Eco

http://www.dwell.com/articles/this-is-it.html

I am intrigued by this environmentally efficient home, designed by Alterstudio Architects in Austin, Texas. When building this home the Alterstudio Architects installed many floor-to-ceiling windows. This allows the homeowners to save on electricity costs and is a way to naturally ventilate their home. Homes like this speak great volumes in the modern world. It’s the ability to find alternative solutions to create a better environment that should be always taken into consideration. With solar panels on the roof and salvaged wood floors from an old barn. This home not only is better for the environment, but also saves the homeowners money. The home has a great mix of vintage, modern and Eco design.
