The color black can be extremely glamorous if used correctly in a space. Go Glam, Go Black! If your interested in spicing up your home with some black I advise you to do so. Start off with a small accent. A chair, lamp, or accessory is always best as these items can easily be removed if the color black is not for you. If the color black does not scare you, then paint a wall or all four black. (Right) I love how the decorator in this space painted the fireplace black. Used on a fireplace the color black can add glamour as well as a sense of age. (Below) This room designed by Ralph Lauren shows how the color black can be very elegant. Black is the ideal color to paint your walls or accessorize with if you want to make a statement. You can add as little or as much black to your space as you want. Don’t follow rules, just do.
