Selvika in Norway

http://www.reiulframstadarkitekter.no
Selvika is a public walkway located in Havoysund, Norway that leads one from the roadside to the beach. The main goal of Selvika is to "single out and magnify the experience of walking down to the roadside" (Arkitekter). (ABOVE 1) Selvika's design is very angular and full of movement. It is not a structure based on hard lines. Selvika causes one to slow down their movement to the beach and soak in the wonderful surroundings. (BELOW 1) Inside the structure one can sit and relax at one of the circular shaped seats. (BELOW 2) Selvika's location in Norway is absolutely breathtaking. The landscape is eerie and gorgeous. From afar, Selvika looks like a structure that belongs on a different planet. Selvika's originality makes it a must-see! What do you think?
