Room Spotlight: Inspiring Modern Office

http://www.architecturaldigest.com
Fashion designer, Reed Krakoff's office, featured in Architectural Digest is full of intriguing silhouette's and creativity. It's a space where each nook and crevice has something that will catch your eye and cause you to be inspired. Though I am a huge fan of space's that are very designed with gorgeous 60s-80s period pieces, I love to be inspired by space's that are open and minimally designed with more contemporary period pieces. (ABOVE) The desk is without a doubt the focal point of this space. The legs give the desk that outer space, spider web look. It's very unusual and perfect for this open office. (BELOW 1) Krakoff opted to place books around a central table on the floor rather than have them in a bookcase. It's a great idea as it gives the floor a punch of color. (BELOW 2) A separate seating area gives the office a more laid back feel. The rocking chair shares similar angles to the desk. It ties the two spaces together. The two arm chairs arms' share similarities with Krakoff's modern square chunky heels. What do you think of Krakoff's office? You can add as little or as much to your space as you want. Don't follow rules, just do.
