Moving In: Original Warren Platner

http://www.sothebysrealty.com

For this week's "Moving In" post I've decided to move in to this stunning original Warren Platner home. Located in Greenwich, Connecticut, this home is an architectural gem. The home has over 10,000 square feet of living space and sits right on the water. (ABOVE) An aerial view of the home. The home's proximity to the water is a huge selling feature. The home is tucked away in a mini forest. (BELOW 1) The home is one level. I love the trees in the center, as well as the fountain. (BELOW 2) The landscaping is modern just like the home. The home has a very laid back feel. It's elegant, but does not look like its trying too hard. The flowers add a pop of color. The large windows bring much light into the home, and allow one to enjoy the landscaped grounds! (BELOW 3) I like the shape of this pool. The planting to the right, gives the area a more organic touch. The pool area is so private, how nice! (BELOW 4) How great is this sunroom? The roof has a very unique design and shape. What do you think of the home? Would you move in?

Space's I'm Loving: Part XVIII

http://stylebyemilyhenderson.com

Why I Love This Space: I love this space's fresh feel and contemporary pieces

How stunning is this space? The space is designed by HGTV Design Star winner Emily Henderson. The colorful accessories and contemporary furnishings pop against the clean white walls. My favorite pieces in the space are the Warren Platner side table, Friedeberg arm chair, and Benni Ourain rug. The space makes me think of a piece of bubble gum (hehe)! I'm not a huge fan of placing books in the fireplace. Do you like the space? You can add as little or as much to your space as you want. Don't follow rules, just do.

Why I Love This Space: I love this space's mix of modern and traditional furnishings

The modern table, and accessories are simple and clean. The traditional chairs add a pop of color and a different style into the space. The art piece has an Asian-esque flair. I like having a round table in the Dining Room, because it allows for more seating and a better flow. Do you like the space? You can add as little or as much to your space as you want. Don't follow rules, just do.

Why I Love This Space: I love this space's Asian mod feel

This space is awesome. What sets this space apart and gives it its own unique look is the oversized Asian screen. If the furnishings were Asian as well, than the space would not have the same impact. It's that unusual mix of Asian furnishings and 60s mod, that make this space.  Do you like the space? You can add as little or as much to your space as you want. Don't follow rules, just do.

Why I Love This Space: I love this space's funky pieces, and layout

This space has a serious look. However, there are a few pieces that stand out and give this space a more playful feel. The bird side table, oversized art piece to the right, and vase of balloon flowers add that kick this space is screaming for. This space has a great layout, there is so much you can do with it. I'd love to design this space and give it a little BAD flair! Do you like the space? You can add as little or as much to your space as you want. Don't follow rules, just do.

Moving In: Dutch Colonial Estate

http://www.sothebysrealty.com

This home is located in beautiful Palm Beach, Florida! This impeccable Dutch Colonial house has over 7,000 square feet of living space, and features many resort like amenities. (ABOVE) From the outside, the home has a very distinguished beauty and character. It really doesn't look like the typical Florida home. It has its own individuality! I love the symmetry of the home. The symmetry adds to the overall beauty of the architecture. The white facade is very inviting. I absolutely love the windows, and front door. (BELOW 1) This outdoor seating area allows you to relax, without having to worry about rain, or the hot Florida sun. The seating area allows for quick access to the pool. I find the design to be way too coastal. Below I have featured a few pieces I'd place in the home. (BELOW 2) The pool features a wonderful fountain done in a tropical mosaic. The hedges give lots of privacy. I really love the rectangular pool design. I prefer a rectangular pool to a curved one, way more elegant. Would you move in?
