Moving In: Estate Nestled In The Park
This gorgeous stone country estate is located in Greenwich, Connecticut. The 9,600 square foot residence is situated on over 10 acres of beautifully manicured grounds. The home truly feels like it's nestled in a park. (ABOVE) From the street all you can see is a gorgeous iron gate and behind it, a park like setting. The property is exactly what a country estate should feel like, secluded! (BELOW 1) Once you've made your way through the gate and park, you are greeted by a fantastic residence. The home is designed like a ranch, a single level home that allows it to blend into its surroundings. Though I'm not a huge fan of this architectural style, I see it's purpose. (BELOW 2) A central courtyard. I really like the ivy growing along the exterior. The slate floors are wonderful. (BELOW 3) An aerial view of the pool, and tennis court. I can definitely see myself waking up to a game of tennis and taking a dip in the pool. (BELOW 4) An aerial view of the home. Here you can really see how well the property is actually maintained. Every square inch of the property is utilized and serves a purpose. What do you think of the estate? Would you move in?

Room Spotlight: Pops of Color
Jamie Drake's New York City apartment is full of interesting pieces, and pops of vibrant color. Drake states that he wanted his apartment to not only reflect his urban sensibility, but also function a bit like a chic cocktail lounge. Drake's Living Room is my favorite space in the apartment. The dark floors, and off-white walls provide a blank canvas for color, and incredible design finds. The light fixture provides light, but does so without obstructing the view. The fixture is from Artemide. The Friedeberg chair, low chair, and the Drake cocktail coffee table are my favorite pieces in the space. They have that 1960s flair I love. The gold leafed standing lamps add a little bit of shine and glamour. The bookshelves not only provide the space with great storage, but also serve as a room divider. What do you think of the space? You can add as little or as much to your space as you want. Don't follow rules, just do.

Today's Must Have: May 29, 2013

How stylish are these Lanvin Heels? These shoes really play with a lot of different shapes, hardware, and materials. The curved heel, exposed screws on the back, and snakeskin look, really make these shoes stand out from a crowd. I was immediately drawn to the shoe when I saw the heel, definitely an original design. When I began to look closer I was impressed by the details. These shoes are a stark contrast with Lanvin's spring/ summer 2013 collection. I see these shoes paired with a pair of dark slim fit pants. What do you think of the pumps?

Weekly Start Off: No 19
Happy Tuesday, May 28, 2013, readers! I hope everyone had a fantastic Memorial Day weekend. The past week has been pretty rainy in the New York area, and on Sunday things finally cleared up. Monday was a fresh 75 degrees with a gentle breeze. The reason I mention this? It's time to bring out the transparent chiffon maxi dresses! What I love about this type of dress is you that you feel like you're wearing a long dress, but you're really not!

1. Here are a few beautiful transparent chiffon maxi dresses. This 3.1 Phillip Lim Layered Twist Column Dress is a formal choice. I love the orchid color. It's very luxurious, yet manages to feel light and fresh for spring. This Rory Beca dress is a casual choice. This dress sort of looks like a romper and a maxi dress combined. I see one wearing this dress lounging in their backyard surrounded by flowers, with fantastic sea views.

2. I'm planning my summer getaway and am searching for a few great new places to travel to that I haven't yet been to. Travel and Leisure magazine is definitely a great resource when it comes to planning a trip. If you're looking to book a trip, check out Jetsetter. They have a great selection of hotels and those deals we all love! I'm considering St. Lucia. It seems like a place that not only has scenic views, but also a wide variety of things to do. Have you been?

3. One of my favorite things about celebrating Memorial Day with family is hanging outside and making s'mores. The classic s'more will never go out of style. Marshmallows, graham cracker, and chocolate gently smoked over a firepit. However, why not try a new take on the classic? I made these peanut butter s'mores with my family yesterday and loved them. Fabulous Lindsay!

Wear That Space: Wearstler Beach House
I'm so excited to announce the start of a brand new series! My new series "Wear That Space" takes phenomenal interiors and translates the space into your wardrobe. Our spaces truly reflect the way we dress, the way we feel, so I wanted to capture that in this new series. The first space I'm featuring is designed by none other then Kelly Wearstler. Wearstler uses many graphic art pieces to offset the very simple, neutral color palette of the space. Silver, white, lighter stained floors, all give this space a beach-like quality. What I like about the space is it doesn't scream beach house! One can feel the beach in the house in the details. The fashion reflects the space's artwork, as well as the furniture pieces. The tops were all inspired by the art. The pants and jewelry pieces were inspired by the furniture pieces and the art. The shoes were inspired by the furniture pieces. Many of the pieces can be mixed and matched to create a look. Which piece is your favorite?

Wildlife Paintings
Artist Tiffany Bozic's "Wildlife" paintings are full of color, and beauty. The self-taught artist showed a wide variety of wildlife paintings in this series. From birds to sea creatures to the animals on dry land. The paintings would look phenomenal if printed on pillows, or even manipulated on an area rug. (ABOVE) The white birds set the tone for this piece. They're pure and add a sense of glamour and serenity to the piece. The dark background allows the different creatures in the foreground to be visible. (BELOW 1) The birds are wonderfully colored. I absolutely love all the texture and movement that Bozic was able to capture. (BELOW 2) This piece is a marriage between the creatures on land and the creatures under the sea. I love how the dark turquoise at the bottom fades into white at the top. It looks like the sea moving into the air. (BELOW 3) You can really see the love the mother bird has for her chick. The stylized nest really adds to the piece. I love the saltwater fish at the bottom! What do you think of Bozic's work?

Park Lane House
The Park Lane house is a brilliant urban looking home located in Australia. The home is extremely modern. (ABOVE) What I love about the home is that it manages to bring the outside in. Even though the home itself does not look one with nature, the design and flow of the home certainly does. (BELOW 1) Around most of the home is this white brick wall. Not only does it maintain privacy, but it also adds to the overall architecture of the house. (BELOW 2) The other side of the house it very different. Wood siding have replaced the white brick walls. I personally would have wanted to keep the front and back of the home more consistent. (BELOW 3) This drawing presents a clear view of how the structure is designed. What do you think of the house?

Weekly Start Off: No 18
Happy Monday, May 20, 2013, readers! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. Is it me or are the chunky headphones coming back into style? Lately I've been seeing people rocking out to some pretty cool looking headphones. The beautiful thing about these chunky music makers is that they can block out lots of street noise. When you live in NYC, these headphones come in handy, but be aware, don't wear them and drive! I love how this fashion cautious girl styled her look. The matte black chunky headphones definitely complete the look.

1. On Saturday, I actually picked out a pair of chunky headphones for myself.  I bought a pair of Skullcandy Aviator Headphones in red. I have to say, I'm loving them. The sound quality is great and the color is totally rad (do people say that anymore)? If you're more interested in a pair that's super stylish, than I recommend these Frends Headphones. I don't actually know if the sound quality is that great, but they look pretty sleek.

2. Aside from the chunky headphones, I love what the girl above is wearing. The blazer is similar to this Soft Joie Neville Blazer. I love that you can't see the buttons, i don't know why but I think that's cool! I love Dr. Martens shoes, because not only are they super comfortable, but they are also stylish. I choose these black Dr. Martens Alfred Brogues because, I like having a different colored sole.

3. I've been having a bit of an obsession with this song from San Cisco. I think I heard them while I was shopping at ASOS. The song is so catchy, and put me in a good mood. The music video is a reminder to the awkward feelings you get when you start dating. Oh romance!

The Real Models Of Abstract Paintings
How cool are these images? I can't stop looking at them! 19 year old Hungarian photographer Flora Borsi, was curious as to what the models of some of the world's most famous abstract art work would look like. Borsi who describes herself as being quite interested in photo-manipulation has put both her interest and talent into good work to create this series. (ABOVE) "The Corn Poppy", those eyes are insane. From the small lips, big eyes, to the button nose, Borsi nailed it all. (BELOW 1) "Donna con Cappello Verde", the nose looks perfect. The clothes look great as do the small shoulders. I love the ears, clearly not the same height. (BELOW 2) "Portrait of a Polish Woman", well, the giraffe neck looks good! She kind of looks like she came straight out of a Tim Burton movie! (BELOW 3) "Gelber Narrenhut", what I love about this painting is all the shadow around the eyes and on the cheek. I feel like this is missing from the real person. The fortune cookie on the head is pretty fun! Interested in buying Borsi's prints? What do you think of the series?
