Designer Crave: Giuseppe Zanotti

Fuchsia Sculptured Jem Heels
Giuseppe Zanotti's colorful heels are just the pop and kick every outfit needs. Fashion designer, Giuseppe Zanotti, began his fashion career in the 1990s and was quickly recognized for his use of color and unique shoe design, inspired by his love of art, design, and former DJ position. Today, Zanotti works with brands such as Proenza Schouler, Balmain, and many more. (ABOVE) "Fuschia Sculptured Jem Heels" have such a rich, bright color, making them a statement piece. Zanotti is well known for this sculptural design. I'd pair these shoes with this blouse. (BELOW 1) Ring in the spring with these bright, "Yellow Suede T-Strap Jem Heels" they have both a bright color, and statement heel, both of which Zanotti is known for. Pair these heels with this fantastic dress, for a double color whammy. (BELOW 2) This "Turquoise Colorblock Sharon Heel", has a little suede and a bright yellow patent leather heel. The three colors are unexpected but work wonderfully together. Pair these heels with this fantastic jacket. (BELOW 3) A great pair of "Turquoise Peep-Toe Liza Heels". Zanotti is well known for this thick platform shoe. It's a heel that will live on for ages. A great pair of pants with these heels. Is Giuseppe Zanotti your Designer Crave

Designer Crave: Tom Binns

Black and Pearlised White Paint Veil of Shadows Earrings
Tom Bins colorful jewelry has that perfect mix of eclectic and classic. Jewelry designer, Tom Bins and CEO Viera Newton, started Tom Binns in 2004 and was quickly recognized for his use of color and unique jewelry design, inspired by his interest in combining elegance and anti-conformist sentiment. Today, celebrities such as Beyonce, Cate Blanchett, Michelle Obama, and Lady Gaga are wearing Bins jewelry. (ABOVE) "Black and Pearlised White Paint Veil Of Shadows Earrings" have that classic look, with the black crystal, and chandelier shape. The earrings have a modern touch with the white stones and turquoise. (BELOW 1) Play with color with these, "Orange Soft Power Pastel and White Crystal Teardrop Earrings" they will give your look a color kick. The colors of the earrings are what make the piece feel current. (BELOW 2) This "Orange and Green Electro Clash Nova Semi Circle Gradiated Earrings", is a great piece to pair with an all black look. I love how the colors sort of fade into each other. (BELOW 3) A great pair of "Gold Bent Nail Voila Earrings". The earrings are very unique. They not only remind me of a nail, but also a cuff link. Designer Crave: Dannijo

http://www.dannijo.com/necklaces/view-all/misch-ii.html
Dannijo necklaces are stunning pieces of artwork that always get my juices flowing! Each Dannijo necklace is handmade in NYC with lots of love and attention to detail. Dannijo also produces other accessories such as rings, earrings, etc. The company is very much influenced by the 60s and 70s, and whenever I hear these two decades I get very excited. Fashion and design in the 60s and 70s was such a wonderful and expressive time. (ABOVE) Dannijo describes the Misch II necklace as "Understated elegance with a Victorian twist." The black crystals are the perfect backdrop for the center stone. The twists at the bottom remind me of a web. Kinda neat! Pair the necklace with a great blouse. (BELOW 1) Dannijo describes the Knox necklace as "The epitome of understated elegance, the Knox necklace is a modern take on the classic style of Audrey Hepburn." I like that each each string has a different start and are not all attached to the center clasp. The necklace is a new take on the classic pearls. Pair the necklace with an awesome bag. (BELOW 2) Dannijo describes the Hilde necklace as "Nothing says sexy like a crystal laden peter pan collar." I am a huge fan of Dannijo's collar necklaces. They are definitely the perfect piece to spice up any top. (BELOW 3) Dannijo describes the Petra necklace as "For the modern Cleopatra. The Petra not only looks killer with an off-the-shoulder neckline, but also as the finishing touch for things simple and solid." The black crystals at the edge of the necklace makes the necklace "pop". And the colorful stones around the edge are the perfect touch of color. Forget about wearing this piece, it's so gorgeous it belongs in a picture frame on the wall! Pair the necklace with a pair of killer heels. Is Dannijo your Designer Crave

A Well Traveled World

http://www.katerentz.com
I have a bit of a weak spot when it comes to travel photography. Kate Rentz's photographs of her international travels are making me beam from cheek to cheek! Looking through her photographs, I literally feel like I'm in a different part of the world for a few seconds. The Ohio-born, California-based girl photographs not only travel, but also fashion, lifestyle, portraits, etc. (ABOVE) The country of Argentina is gorgeous. The picturesque mountains, crystal clear blue water, and white sand beaches are making me crave for a beach getaway to the country right now!

(1) Big Sur, California. Look at the mountains for a second. Don't you feel like the rest of the photograph would just be desert? The amazing blue color of the water stands out against the very martin like mountains.

(2) I wish I knew where this photograph was taken! I did a post on the Grand Canyon a little while ago and this photograph gives me that vibe. What I find particularly beautiful about this photograph is the vastness of the landscape, cloud shadows, and the different variation in colors of the mountains. Can I say colorblocked

(3) This looks like it was taken in the good old South West, any ideas? I'm not an avid camper, however, I'd consider camping more often if the camp grounds had views like this.

(4) Desert vibe. I feel like we're in Arizona here? The way in which this photograph was taken looks like Kate was on the road. Makes me sort of want to go on a road trip.

(5) Every good traveler has got to have a travel journal. I have a good feeling my journal would start with words and quickly change into architecture, design, and fashion sketches.

(6) Finally, a photograph with a location! A volcano in the gorgeous Costa Rica. Costa Rica's beauty lies in it's lush landscapes. What a place to explore some forests, perfect place to whip out your designer boots (hehe).

(7) Guess I spoke to soon! This location has a Northeast feel, any ideas? I really like the look of moss growing on the trees. Can I just say, sledding here would be quite the challenge!

(8) Death Valley, California. This is one of my favorite of Kate's photographs. It's so eerie. It's such a simple shot, yet says so much about the landscape. Doesn't seem like much of a place to explore! What do you think of Kate Rentz's photographs?
